ROTH CONVERSIONS

Roth Conversions

We have the ability to convert Traditional, SEP, or Simple IRAs—or from a 401(k)—into Roth IRAs, which creates a taxable event. Sometimes this can be an advantageous thing to do if you have a large IRA account and you expect your tax bill to go up as you age. This is because a Roth IRA allows for tax-free withdrawals of qualified distributions.¹
Want to be sure you won’t outlive your income in retirement? Do you know how much monthly income you can count on? Speak with one of our advisers to learn more about how we can help you customize certain parts of your retirement income plan.
