Erik Bowman is a wealth advisor with nearly three decades of experience that includes six years of active duty military service, business leadership, and financial acumen. Previously, as a Divisional Vice President and financial advisor with one of the big insurance companies, Erik spent time mentoring and leading a team of 20 advisors while simultaneously growing his own practice. That leadership provided him with exposure to a broad array of financial planning strategies and client concerns. He holds FINRA series licenses including the Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination), Series 7 (General Securities) and Series 24 (General Securities Principal Qualification). In addition, Erik is Long-Term Care certified in the state of Colorado.
As time went by, his financial practice expanded and the need to provide his clients a higher level of service grew quickly. Bowman Financial Strategies was created to address his client’s need for customized, objective advice by using an efficient, effective process to allow clients to feel more confident about living their retirement dreams.
Erik graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’ of Science in Business Administration and earned Distinguished Military Graduate for his class. Erik served six years of active duty in the U.S. Army, first as a combat medic from 1986-1989 in West Germany. While there, and one of Erik’s most memorable moments in life, he provided lifesaving CPR on a four-year-old boy. For this, the U.S. Army awarded him the Army Commendation Medal and inducted him into the 7th Corps Hall of Dragoons. Erik then received his Army commission in 1995 from the University of Colorado, Army ROTC program as a Second Lieutenant and served as an Armor Officer until December 1998 at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Erik is married to his beautiful wife of over 23 years, Heidi. They have 4 children and live in Castle Pines, CO.
